A 21-year-old man suspected in a fatal shooting in Glendale was arrested in Texas last month and is awaiting extradition to Colorado, according to police officials.
Blake Andrew Warren was arrested on Aug. 15 in Spring, Texas, by U.S. Marshals on suspicion of first-degree murder for the April 5 death of Gianni Fernandez, according to court records and the Glendale Police Department.
Warren is still awaiting extradition to Colorado, Glendale police said Sunday.
Warren was one of three people suspected in the early-morning shooting that killed Fernandez and injured another man at The Phenix At Infinity Park apartment complex.
Sarah Elizabeth Sandoval, 22, was arrested in Texas days after the shooting and is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault and robbery. Caleb Isaiah Choice, 22, turned himself into police shortly after Sandoval’s arrest and faces similar charges.
