A shooting early Friday in Glendale that killed one man and sent another to a hospital is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Glendale police responded to reports of shots fired in an apartment at 4701 E. Mississippi Ave. about 3 a.m., according to a news release from the department.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, the release stated.

One man was pronounced dead, and paramedics transported the other to a hospital with wounds that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

The address belongs to The Phenix At Infinity Park apartment complex.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing; a black Lexus may have been involved in the killing, according to Friday’s release.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Glendale Police Department at 303-759-1511.

The police department first posted a statement about the shooting on X at 4:54 a.m. Friday.
