A severe thunderstorm could bring 2-inch hail, wind gusts up to 70 mph and frequent lightning to Colorado’s Eastern Plains and communities east of the Interstate 25 corridor, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m. for a large section of northeastern and southeastern Colorado, including Weld, El Paso, Cheyenne, Elbert, Pueblo, Otero, Lincoln, Crowley, Kiowa, Logan, Yuma, Kit Carson, Morgan and Washington counties.
