UPDATED:

C-470 reopened in both directions at Interstate 25 after a man died after falling from an overpass, according to the Lone Tree Police Department.

Police responded to a call about a person in crisis near the southbound off-ramp to the E-470 overpass at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Lone Tree police said in a news release.

Officers attempted to interact and stop the man, but he fell from the overpass to the ground near westbound E-470. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

C-470 was closed in both directions until 3 p.m. for the investigation. The overpass connecting the highway to I-25 is still closed.

The man’s identity was not released so officials can notify his family.
